WATERVILLE ó Darrell George King, 48, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2002, at a local hospital after a long courageous battle with multiple sclerosis. 

 He was born in Waterville, June 10, 1953, the son of George A. and Gloria (Langlais) King,and was a Waterville High School graduate of class 1971. 

 He is predeceased by his parents and special grandmother, Alice Langlais. 
 He is survived by his sister, Brenda King of Waterville; two special aunts and uncles, Leonard and Fleurette Langlais of Winslow and George and Gil Langlais of Brewer; several cousins; special friends at Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home in Waterville. 

 Visiting will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1, at Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm St., Waterville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 52 Elm St., Waterville with Rev. Ralph Boisvert officiating. Committal prayers will be recited at church. Burial will be in St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, Grove Street, Waterville.
