The Maine in Me
I jump in my Truck
for my spontaneous hour
ride
passing the open greenery and
farms
full of overpowering cow
poop
that reminds me of how much
I love this place.
But I am driven East
to the coast of Maine
to get my fix
a deep breathe of sweet
sea kelp,
mesmerized by the unity I feel
as each wave crashes on
the shore
with the sea gulls chiming in
I hear a symphony
and my spirit feels like a baby
again
like mother just sung
me
the sweetest lullaby.....
