TAY-SACHS DISEASE
Patricia Burns, Sarah Leavitt, and Michelene Rivas
http://endeavor.med.nyu.edu/student-org/ama/docs/mgb1999-2000/ab62.htm
"TSD in the Ashkenazi Jewish populations is 100 times higher than in
most non-Ashkenazi populations. The disease also occurs at a higher rate
in French Canadians in Eastern Quebec and among Franco-Americans in New
England, probably due to founder effect and migration (Kaplan, 1998)."
